we started at the akb48 cafe, which is next door to gundam cafe:
queues galore. they even had 2 separate queues to enter akb48 and akb cafe.
i've never seen either show, but i thought robots would have more personality than singing-dancing teenage girls. so i bought a gundam taiyaki:
the taste was so-so.. but i suppose it would have been an out-of-this-world experience for a hard-core gundam fan.
moving on... flea market:
enjoying the car-free road:
special deal at electronic shops:
colonel sanders getting ready for halloween:
"maids" attracting customers from the 2nd storey of a building... i'm confused. do they want to be maids or damsels-in-distress?
obviously, we didn't go to that cafe. but we did visit another maid cafe:
they drew bunnies and cats on the food. we had to chant different spells after the maids to make our food and drinks taste nice. it was all "moe, moe, cute!"
note: moe means more than lovely, more than cute. can be used for girls, animals or things. not men.
no picture inside the cafe, so we had to purchase a special package to be able to take home this polaroid picture with a maid:
p.s. this girl can speak 4 languages!
and of course, our trip to akihabara won't be complete without going to yodobashi akiba. 7 floors of electronic galore. j would go crazy in this place.
