i've just realized that i had never fully appreciated the sun before. but in my defense, i think only very few people living in the tropics do so. in the tropics, blazing sun = torture.
autumn is sweeping in and the wind has been pretty cold these past few weeks. now all i want to do is curl beside the window under the sunlight. now i understand how cats must feel. now, i long for the sun, my friend.

so today, walking to lunch accompanied by the cheerful sun, warm under the cold breeze, my heart smiled and sang lola's song (which is not really lola's - i just saw it the first time in charlie and lola):
the sun has got his hat on
hip hip hip hip hooray
the sun has got his hat on
and he's coming out today!
YAY!
