today's donki experience

so today i went to donki to shop for some things for the apartment. when i got home, i noted that one of the items in my receipt costs 1,999 yen. w00t! i didn't remember picking up anything that cost that much.

so i went through the stuff i bought and came to the conclusion that these kitchen towels were the culprit. really? they're cute, but they shouldn't cost that much.

i sat down and thought: should carry all my shopping back to donki and clarify things? am kinda tired, and i want to watch the world cup.... but in the end i did it.

and i'm glad i did! i didn't even go to the same cashier, but the lady apologized, and she noted that there was a wrong bar code stuck to my kitchen towels. and the thing that was very different from jakarta was that she asked the first cashier who handled my purchases to move over, so she can fix things for me. and the guy just moved over to her post and processed other customers' purchases. no fuss at all!

so long story short, i got my 1,999 yen refunded, and then i paid 100 yen for the kitchen towels.

but unfortunately my cable package does not show the world cup. oh well....
